Chandler Elementary School
Sunviewer.net™ Solar Energy & Weather Information
This 2.4 KW installation at Chandler School started producing energy in August 2009.

The panels were made possible by an 18 month campaign led by Sustainable Duxbury. As a result 211 households and businesses contributed to the New England Wind Fund, making the town eligible for the solar array funded by the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative and the Renewable Energy Trust.

In addition to this web based data display Duxbury students in grades 4-12 can access real time renewable energy data displays at their schools thanks to a generous contribution by the Island Creek Foundation. As a result of teacher training in the spring of 2009 this data will integrated into the science and Mathematics curricula during the 2009-2010 school year.
